A Time for Ballance

Alaska is an incredible place to live. Many of us try to do everything and anything possible during the long summer days, and there are an amazing amount of things to do! When the fish are running, it is quite normal for people to disappear for days dip netting so that their freezers will be as full as possible for the winter. Now is also the time when it’s possible to build any out-buildings or make any improvements that weather can make into a  miserable  experience if one waits. It’s also the time to take notice and enjoy the lives we have, and the circumstances we live in. Otherwise all the baloney and BS that clouds the “bigger picture” can get to feel too overwhelming. The one way I think that I can make a difference in the world is by doing the best I can on a daily, personal level. The rest is kind of a crap shoot…..So, I’m going to take a week off and as my Dad used to remind me, take some time to smell the roses.

I’ll be back on Tuesday August 3 with a new post, thanks for visiting!
